When Alagasco began planning their new operations center, they had two goals: create an improved job environment where employees could work collaboratively and build an operations center that enhanced employee efficiency and service. Their existing control room and didn’t foster easy communication and collaboration.  The room was small with a single display; distribution controllers worked at two separate consoles and had to walk back and forth between their workstations when they needed to share information.
