Activu vis/ability booth build at Distributech 2026
2+ days of setup for the Activu vis/ability booth, with a curved 0.9 DVLED Planar video wall mounted to an AMD stand, and a Tresco operator console with 3 Planar 38″ curved desktop displays.
This video wall is running the vis/ability control room software over the cloud, via a mobile hotspot connection. It is a fully functional control room and command center setup at the Distributech tradeshow, allowing any content from anywhere to be pulled into the organization’s common operating picture in real-time, via cellular.
This demonstration setup of vis/ability operates exactly as it does for thousands of control rooms around the world, in the most critical functions for utilities (as is the case for this Distributech show), public safety, transportation (DOTs, airports, transit, rail), government, corporate SOCs and NOCs), manufacturing and process control, healthcare, smart cities, and more.
From this show floor in San Diego, we are also able to operate video walls in our demo centers in Rockaway, NJ and Arlington, VA, seamlessly dragging-and-dropping content from one place to another: camera feeds, application views, unlimited websites, documents… If it’s visual information, vis/ability can show it, move it, and send it to video walls, workstations, remote workers, and mobile devices. Viewers of vis/ability content don’t even need to be vis/ability users, and users with mobile devices can stream live video back into the platform and video walls without installing any special software.
Vis/ability is the most hardware-light solution in the market. This tradeshow video wall relies on one small form-factor PC, not a full rack of servers, which is a benefit to IT departments supporting vis/ability, as it’s a lower maintenance headache, and lower cost for hardware than competing solutions.
