Bank of New York
In response to 9/11, The Bank of New York moved quickly to open new facilities and create new back-up capabilities. While considering its options for a new Network Operation Center (NOC), the Bank identified some very important factors in the decision making process: the ability to display and control data from various sources; the ability to collaborate among locations; and a virtually seamless display for readability. Activu’s net-centric, software-based visualization and collaboration solution enabled the Bank’s 24x7 IT Operations Support Center to leverage software tools to monitor its multiplatform processing environment, ensuring integrity and availability of the Bank’s Mainframe, Mid-Range, Network and Help Desk infrastructure and applications. The Activu solution gives the Bank of New York the ability to display multiple data and video sources on a large scale for many operators to view simultaneously. Additionally, because data is mirrored on a separate Executive Briefing Center display system, high-level decisions can be resolved quickly.

Thomas Weisel Partners LLC (TWP)
Thomas Weisel Partners (TWP) needed new large-scale display systems in their San Francisco, Boston and New York offices. The systems needed to provide TWP with the most advanced information delivery and display solution available, including the ability to dynamically link sites for data and video conferencing. Integrated into TWP’s existing network for instant display and control of any local or remote computer source, Activu’s net-centric software-based solution allows visual information from any source to be re-sized and positioned on any of the display walls, with no limit to the number of network applications that can be simultaneously displayed. TWP’s Activu solutions are dynamically linked among San Francisco, New York and Boston for video/data conferencing and information sharing.
